Black Bean Hummus

Do you want hummus constantly but have an insatiable desire to consume as many antioxidants as possible like I do?  If so, you should definitely make this recipe.  It’s literally just hummus but with considerably more antioxidants from black beans.  Let me know what you think.


  • 3 cups black beans, cooked
  • 3 Tbsp. tahini
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice from ½ lemon
  • ½ tsp. cumin, ground
  • ½ tsp. coriander, ground
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • Salt to taste


  1. Combine the beans, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, and spices into a food processor or blender
  2. Blend until smooth
  3. While blending, pour the olive oil and water in to emulsify the mixture
  4. Serve and enjoy
