As a vegan, I learned how to make hummus early on. I consider it a health food staple. This recipe is oil-free, but feel free to add olive oil if you so desire. You do you.

Ingredients
- 2 cups chickpeas, cooked (save cooking water)
- 2-4 cloves garlic, chopped
- ¼ cup tahini
- ½ lemon, juiced
- 1 Tbsp. turmeric
- 1 tsp. coriander
- 1 tsp. cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Add all ingredients into a blender
- Blend until creamy consistency is reached
- Add chickpea cooking water if needed to blend easier
- Serve with vegetables, in salad, on sandwiches, or with flatbread, recipe here
