Have any of y’all tried adding basil to your green smoothies? It is delightful. The herb adds a refreshing tone to the taste, and extra greens never hurt anyone. Try this one for yourselves! I also recommend using raspberries as the frozen berry.
Ingredients
- 3-5 cups spinach (depending on how green you want it)
- ½ cup basil leaves, packed
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
- 1 cup frozen mango
- 3-4 frozen bananas
- Juice from 2 oranges
Method
- Place the greens into a blender and blend until smooth
- Add frozen fruit, bananas, and orange juice
- Blend until creamy (help the blender out by thawing the frozen fruit for about 15 minutes before blending)
- Scoop smoothie into a bowl
- Top with extra fruit, coconut shreds, or anything else you want to dress up the smoothie
- Enjoy!
