It has been a hot minute since posting. Of course, life always keeps going, and I had to keep up. Anyway, I’m back in the midst of a hot Texas summer. Smoothie bowls have been one way that I have kept cool this season. This one in particular has been my favorite as of late. The freshness of the tropical fruits is refreshing and hydrating. Whether you eat this as breakfast or dessert, this bowl is the perfect beginning or end to a summer day.
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen mango
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- 3-4 frozen bananas
- Juice from 2 oranges
- Tropical fruits and coconut for garnish
Method
- Place the frozen fruit, bananas, and orange juice into a blender
- Blend until creamy (help the blender out by thawing the frozen fruit for about 15 minutes before blending)
- Scoop smoothie into a bowl
- Top with extra fruit, coconut shreds, or anything else you want to dress up the smoothie
- Enjoy!
