Miso Mustard Salad

This recipe was not my own creation.  The dressing came from none other than the queen of mustard herself!  Of course, I am talking about Jenny Mustard!  The salad came out with a delicious and mellow flavor.  I recommend this salad for anyone looking for something simple, salty, and tasty.  Let me know what y’all think!



  • 1 tsp. miso paste
  • 1 tsp. yellow mustard


  • 2 cups chickpeas or kidney beans, cooked
  • 1 head romaine lettuce
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • ½ cup green onion, chopped
  • ½ cup raisins (optional)


  1. Mix the dressing ingredients together with a splash of water
  2. Add water to reach desired consistency
  3. Mix the salad ingredients together and toss with the dressing
  4. Serve with gumbo and hushpuppies, recipe here, or on its own
  5. Enjoy!
