Pina Colada Smoothie Bowl

I made this bowl without preparation from a craving for something cool, fresh, and creamy.  This bowl certainly fits the bill.  As always, feel free to sub out any of the ingredients for something new, and let me know how it turns out!



  • 3-4 frozen bananas
  • 1 can light (or regular) coconut milk
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple pieces
  • ¼ cup macadamia nuts, chopped
  • 1 fresh banana, sliced
  • ¼ cup coconut shreds
  • 1 slice of lime
  • ¼ cup rolled oats or rye/spelt/wheat flakes (optional)


  1. Place the frozen bananas, pineapple, and coconut milk into a blender
  2. Blend until creamy (help the blender out by thawing the frozen fruit for about 15 minutes before blending)
  3. Scoop smoothie into a bowl
  4. Top with macadamia nuts, banana, coconut shreds, and rolled grain flakes
  5. Enjoy!
